Kyabram

30 MINUTES FROM ECHUCA MOAMA.

Kyabram is a major fruit and dairy producing region nestled in the Goulburn Valley.

Conveniently located between Echuca and Shepparton. Affectionately known as ‘Ky’ by the locals, it is close to the Murray and Goulburn Rivers and Waranga Basin.

The town’s star attraction is the Kyabram Fauna Park.

Renowned for its breeding and conservation of native Australian animals, birds and reptiles. The Park has recently had a makeover and is well worth a visit. Up close animal encounters, hand feeding, and educational sessions. For special events or a relaxing wetlands walk, the Fauna park is a truly natural experience.

Experience boutique cinema at its finest at the Plaza Theatre. The Plaza opened in 1929 as a cinema, theatre, playhouse and dance palais making it one of the original and oldest, longest running of its kind. Check their Facebook for arthouse and commercial films, live performances and specialty events.

Kyabram Parkland is Kyabram’s Par 3, 18 Hole Golf Course. Home of the Victorian Par 3 Championships and the only Par 3 course in Victoria! The perfect way to swing away an afternoon.

The Kyabram Water Tank painted by Jimmy DVate and completed in March 2021.

The water tank mural highlights the wetlands at the Kyabram Fauna Park, a crucial tourism and environmental feature of Kyabram.

The Eastern long necked turtle, Golden Whistler and a Red-capped Robin have been brought to life on the side of the tank. Other birds, animals and insects are featured including a Yellow crimson Rosetta, a Major-Mitchell’s cockatoo, a Plains-wanderer, a spotted-tail Quoll, a Blue skimmer dragon fly, a Brolga and my favourite a Bush stone-curlew.

The water tank is owned by Goulburn Valley Water. Find out more at https://www.australiansiloarttrail.com/kyabram
